Why Children Should Take Tumbling

Tumbling is a great way to introduce your children into moves and jumps that can bring them a lot of joy! It is also a wonderful way to allow them to release some of their energy, while also building their stamina and strength. But what exactly is tumbling?

Tumbling is a form of gymnastics that includes somersaulting, jumps, tucks, and even handstands! Although it does not share the same elements as formal dance, it is a wonderful way to get your child in tune with the movements of their body and ready for a future in dance!

One of the greatest ways to get your child to use some of that endless energy is through movement! Tumbling is a great way for children to focus their energy on something that is beneficial to their health and helps them make friends! Here at Omaha School of Music and Dance, we have several tumbling classes for different age groups where your children can feel comfortable with others of their age and skill level – which can also help them build bonds with each other!

While helping your child exert their energy, tumbling is also an incredible way to keep your child’s heart pumping! This will help increase their stamina and flexibility, which can help prevent dance related injuries in the future! Keeping them moving will also help improve their muscle memory. Tumbling is a wonderful way to improve these skills while also having fun doing so! We have several class times for different age groups, contact us to learn more about the schedules and classes we offer.

Tumbling is a fantastic form of exercise for a child of any age and can really help improve their dexterity, flexibility, and stamina, while also helping them with harnessing all that energy! Stop by today so we can talk more about tumbling and our other classes! We are located right off of 144th and Dodge in Omaha, NE, or give us a call at 402-515-9639.
