Here at Omaha School of Music and Dance Musical Theater is a year-round class. This class focuses on acting, singing, and dancing. It is basically a 3 for 1 deal. Each production is about 13 weeks long with a performance at the end. We have had productions like Hamilton, Zombies, Descendants, and much more. Our upcoming production is Beauty and the Beast. Students will get the chance to audition for acting roles, singing roles, and dance roles. Our teachers help students reach their potential while allowing them to get a little taste of everything while letting them shine in their own unique ways. These classes are offered on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for ages 7-13.
Become a Theater Aficionado
If you are wanting to become a theater aficionado, this is the perfect place to start. Musical Theater allows for students to become well rounded in their dance training by learning adjunct skills to improve their overall performance and style. With learning to perform, your child will also gain valuable skills like learning to overcome stage fright. OSMD is the best place to participate in theater at a young age. The kids love performing, making friends, learning to embrace their characters, and showing off their talents at the end of all their hard work. Our goal with this class is to help our students improve personal expression, create art, and put it into words, expand acting skills, learn proper vocalization techniques, and expand their dance repertoire.
