Omaha School of Music and Dance offers private or group introductory piano lessons for students of all ages and abilities from beginners to very advanced students. We offer every style of piano lessons from classical, jazz and pop. We have students who want to play just for fun and students who wish to excel. We have many piano teachers on staff, which allows us to match students with a teacher that works best with their particular age, ability and interest. Students can start learning piano at age 6 and any time after. Before age 6 we recommend our group preschool program, Music FunTime which is a developmental music program in which they learn piano. Our private piano lessons have one-on-one instruction and lesson lengths are 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour.
Our Introductory Group Piano classes are meant for students who are motivated by, or just enjoy working as part of a team. This is an exploratory piano class and only lasts for one semester. The social interaction helps these students stay motivated and challenged in a supportive, friendly environment. These classes use a combination of method and theory to give students a well rounded musical education. Students will also have the opportunity to prepare a piece for performance in our recital! Each class is a 45 minute session that meets every week. These classes are held in our keyboard lab, which gives every student access to their own individual set of keys rather than having to share a piano. Introductory piano lessons are offered for beginners ages 6-10.
