“Mini Musicians” is a theory based program teaching all students to read music while being exposed to multiple percussion and string instruments. When students learn rhythms, symbols, and notation, it is much easier to learn to play any instrument. “Mini Musicians” is based on strong fundamentals, positivity, building skills, and having lots of fun!
For beginner students 18 months to 5 years old, “Mini Musicians” offers the most age appropriate and comprehensive musical education. This program truly gets young students excited about music for life. While our classes certainly help your child develop a lifelong love for music, they also do more than that: they help children develop language, math, social, emotional, and physical skills as well – all in the context of joyful, musically rich play! And…it is research-proven! The curriculum of our “Mini Musicians” program is based on neurological research from Johns-Hopkins that has found that musical activities enhance the higher brain functions. Classes meet every week and are 30 minutes long.
