Welcome to week three of blog series featuring questionnaires about our fantastic staff here at the Omaha School of Music and Dance. We hope that you are enjoying learning about the private lives of our instructors that spend time with your children every week! This week we are featuring our voice and strings teacher, Mattia Tucksen!
What instruments do you in instruct and play?
I teach voice, violin, and viola lessons.
What are your hobbies outside of teaching music?
I really love to read, particularly science fiction and classic books. I like to play with my cats. I like to play board games I also love to take nature walks.
Why did you decide to become a music teacher?
Teaching music gives me a way to share something that is very important to me and that I am very passionate about with other people.
Who is the person you admire the most and why?
I admire my wife because she always makes me smile. She also inspires me to be the best person I can be everyday of my life.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
I would love to travel to New Zealand. There is so much beautiful scenery there and I would love to see all of it live in person.
What is your favorite song?
My favorite song is “Hero and Leader” from Myths and Hymns by Adam Guettel.
What is the one thing you couldn’t live without?
That’s an easy question for me to answer! How could I possibly live without music!
