The Omaha School of Music and Dance knows you want the best for your dance student. We often receive questions about the appropriate clothing or dancewear for the lessons held at OSMD.
Different dance classes have different requirements. Clothing for ballet class includes the standard tights, leotard, and slippers. Tap dance needs very special shoes and sometimes asks dancers for clothes beyond tights and leotards. Hip-hop class may require special “sneakers” and stretchy pants. It can be intimidating trying to find specific items required by instructors. What brand? What should the dancer look for? Is one type of equipment very different than the other? The Omaha School of Music and Dance have collected a list of shops where you can find the right dancewear! If you have any particular questions, it never hurts to ask our dance instructors if they have specific requirements needing to be met.
